It's Christmas, I love love love Christmas and since it comes only once a year I tend to go overboard.
I know I am not the only one.
To most of us Christmas symbolises Great family moments, good food, new clothes and awesome gifts. It is basically a reason to overeat, over laugh and act like fools with no one to judge us, I love this we all love it.
It is great until January when you look at your tummy and realise you gained back the ten kilograms you have been losing all year. Yet you can not refuse to eat because you will gain weight, you will end up craving and over eating later on. So I can up with 5 tips to help you get through the holiday healthy:
Tip 1
Walk everywhere
If they are looking for someone to go to the market for forgotten onions, go.
If you feel like you have not seen the river since last year walk there.
If your child wants something you forgot to buy walk to the shop.
Basically walk everywhere you can go to as walking is a great workout for the whole body.
Tip 2
Party with the wine
Everyone has their favorite drink this holiday, you should switch yours to wine as wine has about 120-
140 calories a glass. So you can have your merriment and still not consume too much calories.
If you are a hard drinks person go with tequila.
Tip 3
Avoid liquid calories
Soda will be there in plenty, try to avoid it as much as possible that is basically liquid calories. If you can make some fruit juice and share, that is great as sweet and delicious.
Tip 4
Eat the meat
Okay here you will hear no complains from me, this season meat is plenty and since proteins are body building reduce the amount of carbs you are having and eat add on the proteins. Try to eat it more healthy, with a lot of vegetables.
Do not deny yourself.
Tip 5
Make the exercise fun
Do this by including your family and friends, go hiking, visit places you have not seen in a while.
The village has great spots to sight see in and the city too has awesome views you will love.
Make memories from this, take awesome photos and remember all this until next year.
Do not spend this Christmas as a potato couch or sleeping or just overeating.
Eat small portions, eat proteins, drink wine.
Stay healthy and enjoy Christmas.
Merry Fitness.
Until tomorrow,
Aloha.
I am off to eat some goat meat.
