Success never comes easy, and at times life throws distractions on our path.
That does not mean we should give up on our dreams and making dreams come true.
Sometimes, you have worked for years, and it is just not working, you doubt yourself.
Do not give up anytime soon.
Keep holding on.
Here is a list of ten people who made it late in life.
1. Jk Rowling author of Harry Potter:
My favorite is Jk Rowling because I read all the Harry Potter books when I was in Primary School. Her imagination is amazing, and it just took time for publishers to realize that her books are fantastic. She was a struggling single mum who was fired for writing at work instead of working. Imagine losing your mum, your job and struggling to raise a child alone? She managed to sell her first script when she was in her mid-thirties.
2. Sylvester Stallone:
Who has not heard of Sylvester Stallone? He is one of the Most famous American Movie Superstar, but that was not the case when he started out. He was a struggling actor in all the definitions. When he started out at some point he was very broke, he sold his wife’s jewelry to make ends meet, he was homeless for a few days, and at one point he had to sell his dog because he could not feed him anymore.
During the hard times, he wrote the script ROCKY and insisted on starring in it even when the studio refused. Finally, they agreed, and the rest is history.
3. Colonel Sanders founder of KFC:
Who does not love good chicken? I do love it very much. Colonel Sanders started selling chicken to neighbors when he was 65 years old. When the demand became high, he owned and operated one of the largest restaurant franchise in the world.
4. Harrison Ford.
Harrison Ford now known for Star Wars was once a carpenter. He tried acting but left it behind for the financial stability of Carpentry until George Lucas came calling.
5. Sara Blakely.
Sara Blakely sold office supplies door to door. It was not until she was thirty did she launch her billion dollar Spanx company.
6. Mark Twain.
He is well known for The Adventures of Huckleberry and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer which became famous in the second half of the ninetieth century. He followed some get rich quick schemes before giving up and went to join the newspaper where he was known for his humorous writing. He achieved success later in life.
7. Julia Child.
If you love cooking, then you have heard of Julia Child. She made the act and labor that goes into cooking seem so easy and fun. She started learning French cuisine when she was 32 and opened her first cooking school at forty.
8. Jane Lynch
If you love Glee, then you love Jane Lynch. She terrorized the Glee club, but without her, the series would have been so dull. She did not reach the peak of her career until she was in her forties and now at fifty-six, she is enjoying a successful career in acting.
9. Vera Wang
She opened her bridal boutique and launched her signature collection in her forties. She was a figure skater first, then a senior fashion editor at Vogue and a design director for Ralph Lauren.
10. Samuel L Jackson
He is among the most famous actors in Hollywood.
He achieved success when he was 46 years old after recovering from addiction to cocaine and heroin.
All these people show that it is never too late to achieve what you set out to do.
You may not know what it is right now and that is okay. When you figure it out, you will succeed.
You may also know what you need to do, but success seems to be far away, do not worry just keep at it.
And meanwhile always remember our mantra:
You are CONFIDENCE.

With all that I bid you goodbye.
