HOW TO EMBRACE YOUR CURVES.

Image
At one point in life or the other, we have all been self-conscious about how we look and how others perceive us. Hollywood has created this ridiculous stereotype that for you to be viewed as sexy, you have to fit a particular body type. I have started several workout programs after watching BeyoncĂ©’ singing or watching a movie where the actress looked for ridiculously hot. Those programs did not last long because I was trying to look like someone else. Everybody is unique, just because you have curves does not mean you are unhealthy. I have been with people who I admire because they workout, they eat a healthy balanced diet but they also do not deny themselves that treat one’s in a while. They have curves, and they are proud of them because they are living a full, well-balanced life. Getting to the point where you accept yourself for who you are and live your best life is hard, but we are here to help with that. We came up with several tips to help you embrace your curves.

Tips Before You Take up Jogging

So do not get me wrong I love working out but recently I took up this challenge to start running in the morning because home exercises were becoming boring as hell and I needed more of a challenge.
Do not get me wrong some exercises we do at home are challenging but I always feel like there is this lag between the instructor giving me a pose and me doing the pose. I do not like that lag. Makes me yawn.
On the other hand with running, you do not have to think, all you have to do is stretch out a bit then off you go conquering the world one labored breath at a time.
What I do not get thou is those people who swear that when running they think,  all I was doing out there was trying to survive.  But running does clear your mind and it is a very awesome boost of endorphins. Running also clears up your airways very well.
You ever hear of runners high? It's real and exhilarating.
So if you wanna take up running like mwah and torture your body to perfection,  here are some tips for you:

Tip 1
Always wear comfortable running shoes
I cannot stress this enough, find comfortable shoes that actually fit you perfectly before you embark on this long journey. With tight shoes you will end up having a bruise at the end of the night and running will not be as fun at all and we want to have fun.

Tip 2
Warm up and Cool Down
Start your work out with a five minutes walk or light jogging to help your heart rate come up before you actually start running. When you are done running and your muscles and heart are all fired up try doing a little bit of stretching. Me I always cool down with ten minutes of yoga. Helps me wake up next day without all the sore muscles.

Tip 3
Do not worry about pace
When you are starting out the world is your oyster,  do not worry about your pace. Just go at the speed you are most comfortable at and enjoy yourself. But make sure you keep the right upper body posture,  with your hands always right by your hips and make sure you are as upright as possible. Otherwise you will end up tearing some muscle.

Tip 4
Try the walk run approach
I love this approach, you walk then run for a while,  but try making the running longer than the walking.  Walking helps you catch your breath before you have to run again, honestly me I love running early in the morning but when people have started waking up, this way them staring keeps me running longer than am walking.

Tip 5
Breathe in through your nose and mouth
Do not try to breath only through your nose.
Do not try making running look cute.
The first times you shall not be as composed and truth be told you might be huffing and puffing your way through the first weeks.
Do not be ashamed,  breath it all in through your mouth and nose.
Take as much oxygen as you can.

Now all I can say is good luck as we try to be the running people.. We shall endure but we shall conquer.
Until next time.
Aloha.
